My work combines elements of high fantasy, music, and classic tattooing motifs to create designs and scenes that fit into my inner fantasy world. This often takes the shape of American-traditional designs. These elements are what fill my everyday life with whimsy and excitement. It is my goal to learn how to draw in an American-traditional style using these elements.
I use a variety of drawing mediums in my work, like graphite, colored pencils, inks, and charcoal. There are many influences on my work. Media involving high fantasy inspires subjects for me to draw. Games like Elden Ring and Bloodborne with their detailed character, weapons, and environment designs inspire me. Music provides a huge inspiration to me, as well. The lyrics and auditory environments of music I listen to are constantly interpreted in my head to designs and ideas for drawings. It is music that gives me the greatest inspiration. Other artists like tattoo artists Marcel Ustowski and Chris Spriggs act as heroes to me, as they create art in a similar vein to what I seek to create.
My goal with my work is to use the parts of life that inspire me to learn how to create tattoo designs better. By September I intend to have completed a tattoo portfolio to get a tattoo apprenticeship and learn how to tattoo.
